MISSION:

The Institute of Tax Accountants Pakistan is a legally registered professional body in Pakistan. CTA-Pakistan™’s mission is to be a global leader in taxation within private and public services both in Pakistan and around the globe. We achieve this by helping organizations, businesses, government’s educational institutions and individuals: develop new technical competencies (e.g. tax, assurance, financial reporting) and enabling competencies (e.g. leadership, communication, decision-making), gaining deep technical knowledge, transferable skills which include everything from teamwork and communication through to ethics and discipline. new skills, access expert advice and set standards to deliver best practice worldwide.

VISION:

  • To provide support to our members by promoting professionalism in tax assessment and tax collection for expansion of national and international economies.
  • To elevate, promote and maintain ethics and high standards of tax accounting as a profession in the disciplines of employment income, business income and investment income, income tax and business consulting services.
  • To foster and advance the interests of those engaged in such services.
  • To encourage continuing education among its members in the theory and practice of accounting with taxation.
  •  To train members about how to practically implement tax accounting principles to various industries such as: Agriculture, Food Industry, Oil and Gas, Food and Hospitality, Health Care, Education, Public Services etc.

    To achieve excellence in Taxation and to become national representative body of Tax Professionals and to create a profession of Certified Tax Accountants™ and protect its members interest
  • To help, assist governments in formulating tax policies and getting our institute & it’s membership qualification included in recognized qualifications of Tax Accountants as per different statutes
  • To create global federation of Tax Practitioners Bodies around the world and to create and adopt uniform practice standards and to organise uniform training programs for members and to design test assignment to check the  learning outcomes of the said programs, to maintain CPD
  • To seek supervisory guidance & coordinate with statutory institutes and regulators like ICAP,ICMAP,PIPFA and ICSP etc and to to coordinate with other foreign institutes for international tax practice (like CIOT-UK).

1. Develop the Training Institute:

This will be achieved by:

Building and maintaining a high-quality learning environment;

Designing a staffing and management structure which provides flexibility to meet demands; while minimizing costs;

Providing a modern learning environment;

Developing digital library facilities to support distance and continuous learning programs;

Leveraging the facilities and expertise of the Institute to become a hub for external activities, both regionally and internationally.

2. Create strategic partnerships with revenue authorities in the region and beyond

This will be achieved by:

Accessing the best tax programs regionally and internationally;

Sourcing lecturers, trainers and researchers to deliver expert professional programs;

Organizing exchange and attachment programs with other revenue organizations;

Developing research specialization, exchange programs and information sources to support continuous improvement and education.

3. Develop a high quality curriculum

This will be achieved by:

Working closely with other tax administration training Institutes on curriculum development;

Developing flexible learning curricula with a modular approach to curriculum design;

Securing professional recognition for courses through certification and accreditation;

Providing access to further education qualifications to support career planning and lifetime learning.

4. Develop high caliber trainers/training experts

This will be achieved by:

Selecting staff with expert knowledge in their field of work in conjunction with strategic partners;

Providing training for trainers on modern ways of course design and delivery;

Supporting trainers to undertake research in their field of expertise for curriculum development on new trends and techniques;

Identifying leading international expert(s) to lead specialist annual commissioner/director workshops on new techniques in tax administration and tax planning.

5. Develop a research library and distance learning resources

This will be achieved by:

Building high quality conventional and digital library facilities;

Providing a body of reference knowledge covering tax administration and tax planning digital data from the whole of the country;

Encouraging taxation research projects to be undertaken by students and staff;

6. Create market-driven strategies to attract clients

This will be achieved by:

Building a responsive and focused management team to lead and market the services of the Institute;

Preparing annual marketing and communication plans for the Institute;

Marketing the facilities and courses to external organisations across Pakistan;

Establishing relationships with local, regional and national Institutes to host workshops; including public and private sector organizations;

Creating a professional organization as the Training Institute of choice for tax administration and tax planning in Pakistan;

Building and maintaining a positive image of the Institute;
